Pre­par­a­tion of pre­lim­in­ary cost cal­cu­la­tions for new pro­jects and com­mu­nic­a­tion, par­tic­u­larly with Engineering/Design, as a basis for fur­ther cost reductions

Con­duct­ing requests for quo­ta­tion, offer com­par­is­ons, nego­ti­ations, and draft­ing sup­pli­er-spe­cif­ic con­tract agree­ments such as frame­work agree­ments, quant­ity con­tracts, etc.

Ini­ti­ation and imple­ment­a­tion of cost-sav­ing projects

Con­duct­ing pro­act­ive risk management

Suc­cess­fully com­pleted degree in Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion, Indus­tri­al Engin­eer­ing, or a com­par­able qual­i­fic­a­tion with rel­ev­ant addi­tion­al training

At least 5 years of exper­i­ence in auto­mot­ive pur­chas­ing at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 sup­pli­er; ideally in the com­mod­ity groups elec­tron­ics or injec­tion molding

Very good writ­ten and spoken Ger­man and Eng­lish skills

Good MS Office skills, espe­cially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

SAP exper­i­ence is an advantage
